Vernon Thanley Kittlitz was born on June 29, 1939 in Edmonton, Alberta. He passed away on September 11, 2016 at the Grey Nuns Hospital at the age of 77.
He was the second son of Christian and Elsie Kittlitz. He is survived by his sister Grace (Jerald) Whillans, his brother Mervin Kittlitz, brother Lavern (RubyAnn) Kittlitz, and sister Beatrice (Morley) Ceretzke, aunt Phyllis Kittlitz, as well as 10 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Christian in 1963, his brother Rodney (Anita) and their children Melanie, Mark and Marnie in 1982, his mother Elsie in 1992, sister-in-law Marilyn Kittlitz and six half-brothers and sisters, Dorothy (Sid) Woods, Clement (Lillian) Kittlitz, Earl (Doris) Kittlitz, Allan Kittlitz, Mabel (Edward) Eckert and Lillian (Kenneth) McLean.
He used to read a lot but television and videos turned out to be his favorite pastime in later life. Many a VCR was worn out by John Wayne movies.
I am certain everyone has fond memories and will always remember Vernon. He will be missed.
