Barry John Tomlinson
April 8 1959 – May 24 2016
Lamont, Alberta
It is with great sadness the family of Barry announces his sudden passing on Tuesday May 24, 2016. He is survived by the love of his life Cindy, his son Patrick, and his daughter Diane (Shawn).
Also left to mourn are his parents Patrick and Barbara, his brothers Brian (Jackie), Gary (Jamie), and David (Deanna), his sister-in-law Karen (Daryl), along with his grandchildren Christopher, Caramen, and Alexandria as well as step-children Darcie, Duane and Michael and numerous other family members and friends.
Barry was born in Calgary, Alberta and moved with his family to Kamloops, B.C. in 1968. He graduated from Westsyde Secondary School in 1979. Later in his life, he moved to Alberta, where he enjoyed a wonderful career with Dow Chemical, working as a Senior Production Technologist.
As a young man, Barry, along with his parents and brothers, enjoyed an active outdoor life of camping, fishing, and hunting. Barry continued to love these hobbies throughout his life, sharing them with his family and friends. The family will always cherish the memories of Barry and our summertime family fishing trips at the South Thompson river in Kamloops and Chump Lake in Boyle, Alberta.
Barry was a kind and generous man who would give the shirt off his back to anybody who needed it. He will be forever missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday May 30,2016 from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm at the Lamont Hall, 4844 49 Street, Lamont, Alberta.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the many kindnesses and sympathies extended during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, if so wished, to the Lamont Health Care Centre or to the charity of one’s choice.

Heartfelt sympathies to you Cindy, Patrick , Diane and your families. My Dad worked with Barry for many years and the two were fishing and hunting buddies.
