I’m so sad to hear of the passing of this amazing woman. I’ll miss you Lori

Treena Miller ( nee Campkin)

Lori was and always will be a firecracker. Her passionate voice supported so many great causes. I have know her since Jr. High at Kenilworth where she was the sassy cool girl. I am pretty sure she is literally laying in a large pile of snoozing animals of all varieties and watching the stars. She was a champion of the lost and now she will reap the rewards of the love she shared. Rest in Peace only long enough to catch your breath Lori, then get back at it kid! Heaven will be much more of a party with you in it!!

My thoughts are with Lori’s family & friends. I hadn’t been on facebook a lot in the time since Lori got sick, so I hadn’t been aware she was. We were supposed to meet in person “someday” and I really wish we had just made the time. If you could please pass my contact information to Gary, or if someone could email me his contact information, I would appreciate being able to speak with him about something Lori & I had planned to do when we did eventually meet up.
I imagine Lori will have bypassed “regular heaven” and crossed the Rainbow Bridge into “pet heaven”. I think that would be her version of the best afterlife ever. The world’s lost & abandoned critters have lost a fierce advocate. She & I had a good laugh over our tendency to take in every lost animal we came across, although Lori tended more toward heroic efforts than anyone I had ever met.
Best regards to all of Lori’s family & friends – unfortunately, I was unable to attend her service. My thoughts will be with you all. <3
