On April 28, 2012 Paul Zadorozny of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 92.
Paul was born in Calgary, Alberta, son of Steve and Maria Zadorozny. He was recently predeceased by Eileen his wife of 63 years.
Paul is lovingly remembered by his children Jim (Merle Thomson), Pauline (Keith Crowell) and Sharon (Jason Leader). He also leaves his much-loved grandchildren Anne (Daenon and cherished great-granddaughter Claire), Matthew (Anne-Marie), Neil (Aleisha), and Carolyn (Ryan). He is also survived by his brother-in-law Glenn Krause (Doremis), many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Paul was predeceased by his twin Peter, brothers John, Mike, Ted, Bill and sisters Mary and June.
Special thanks to the staff at the Churchill Manor for their kindness to Paul and Eileen over the past four years.
A memorial Service will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the CNIB or the charity of your choice.

Born April 28, 2006, Evan was a brilliant, playful and energetic young boy. On Thursday, May 3, 2012 after a six-month battle with cancer, Evan’s little body could fight no more.
Evan is remembered and greatly missed by his parents Andy and Selene; sister Myah; brother Callen; grandparents Barbara and Larry Kasha, Gloria Rabski, Sam and Betty Posteraro; and numerous others including great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

happiness, faith and hope -
Angela Ruth Mary (Peggy) Peckover (nee Hill) of Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta passed away peacefully on May 2, 2012.
Peggy was born February 19, 1922 in Lloydminster, Alberta the eldest child of Hugh and Margaret (Everest) Hill. Peggy will be remembered for her friendship, her humanitarian spirit and depth of character. Colleagues and patients at the Tom Baker Cancer (Calgary) Institute will remember both her compassion and competence in the delivery of care. Peggy loved classical music; as an accomplished vocalist she sang in both the Calgary Festival Chorus and the Calgary Philharmonic Choir. With her comprehensive command of the English language Peggy always provided an intelligent and appropriate contribution to any conversation. She was the consummate hostess, possessed a keen sense of humor and embraced opportunities to share in laughter.
Peggy was predeceased by her eldest daughter Heather Margaret (Jon) Becker. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Dorothy Anne (Don) Lawrence; her beloved granddaughters Meagan and Mandy; her brother Sandy (Grace) Hill and many cherished family members and friends.
In celebration of Peggy’s life, a Memorial Service will be held in Calgary at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 75th Avenue and Elbow Drive S.W. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Lloydminster, Alberta on June 30, 2012. Those wishing to make a donation in Peggy’s name are encouraged to select Stars Air Ambulance.

Suru Patel of Edmonton passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday May 3, 2012 at the age of 70.
Suru was born in Nairobi Kenya, the fifth of eight brothers and sisters. He studied pharmacy in Wales before moving to Canada in 1972. Upon arriving in Edmonton he bought Mitchell’s IDA Drugs which he owned for thirty years before retiring in 2006.
Suru is survived by Maureen, his wife and
Soul Mate of 41 years, his loving children Nadine (Russ), Aaron, Katrina and his grandchildren Dylan and Nathan. He was recently predeceased by his four legged companion Nanook (aka “Dog”). He enjoyed golfing, travelling, telling stories, but most
of all spending time with his family. Suru will most certainly be remembered by his many friends, loyal customers and extensive family for his sage advice, his dry sense of humour and his loving spirit. As was his request,
there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of one’s choice would
be appreciated.

Bryan Kelly, 54, of Edmonton passed away May 3, 2012 after a brief struggle with a brain tumor with his wife Carol and family by his side.
Bryan was born to Ed and Joan Kelly in St. John’s, NL, and lived in the province until graduating in 1981 from Memorial University of Newfoundland with both a B. Arts and B. Social Work. He moved to Alberta to begin his career with the Alberta Government as a front line social worker working in child protection. For the past several years he was a Senior Manager with Alberta Human Services, Edmonton and Area Child and Family Services Authority, most recently responsible for Caregiver and Permanency Services and Supports.
Bryan loved to create wonderful meals for family and friends. His favourite time was listening to CKUA on Saturday evening, puttering in the kitchen and having a glass of wine (or two) with Carol. He was passionate about reading and loved driving holidays, walking, cycling, spending time in the garden and being with extended family. Bryan was an active member of Mill Woods United Church and volunteered there in many capacities.
Bryan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carol. He also leaves his parents Ed and Joan Kelly; brothers David and Sean, all of Calgary; sister Joanne (Kevin) Breckenridge of Tyndall, MB, and niece and nephews Krysten and Ryan Breckenridge, Mitchell Kelly and Matthew Kelly. He is also survived by his father-in-law Prowse Jerrett; sister-in-law Alison (James) Warner-Smith of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and niece Jacqueline Warner– Smith, as well as Chris, Beth and Jennifer, children from James’ first marriage. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Olive Jerrett.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Mill Woods United Church, 15 Grand Meadows Crescent, Edmonton. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Services in Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to local charities supporting services to youth in need, adult literacy, and CKUA to which he and Carol were longtime donors.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Dube on April 22, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 8, 1955.
Susan will be remembered by the many people that she touched, with her warm smile, sense of humour, and genuine love of life. She had an amazing ability to make any situation comical; her laugh was infectious. Susan had a sincere interest in people that enabled her to meet and quickly build lasting friendships. Her playful spirit and incredible depth has moved many and will leave a beautiful mark in this world.
Susan was a teacher working with young children throughout her career. She began her career in Alix, followed by some time spent in Red Deer, and eventually many years here in Edmonton. She had a love for music which was integrated into her daily teachings. Many people will still remember her as Mrs. C and her trusty guitar, Peter Duke, and the fun that was shared during those moments in the classroom. Eventually Susan ran a music program at Waverly School where she was able to breathe life into the classroom with her bright energy and creativity. Her music touched lives beyond those in the classroom, from traditional Christmas sing-alongs with friends and family to music shared with friends around the bonfire. Her three children share that same love for music.
Susan is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Braeden; daughters, Jenna and Jillian; brothers, Gabriel, Vaughan, Michael, Rodney, Kevin and Brent; sisters, Laurangel Farr and Pierrette Vanson; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Marc, and mother Marguerite and brothers Dennis and Martin.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Millwoods United Church at 15 Grand Meadow Crescent NW, Edmonton (38 Avenue and 61 Street) with a reception to follow. Reverend Nancy Steeves of the Southminster-Steinhauer United Church will be officiating. A private burial will take place prior to the service at Our Lady Peace Cemetery (4814 Meridian Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta).
A donation to the Cross Cancer Institute, Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit (Station 43) of the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, may be made in lieu of flowers.

John passed away at the Allen Gray Continuing Care Center after a long debilitating illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary, son Eric (Petrina), daughter Mary Jane, and two grandchildren, Alora and Emmett, three brothers and six sisters.
As well as working for the City of Edmonton as a Building Inspector, John was very involved in the Ritchie Community League overseeing renovations and enjoying a term as President. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, volunteering regularly. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held in New Brunswick where he spent his early years and his family still reside.

for himself there. Well, today is
the day! On April 28th, 2012, Pat passed away peacefully at Shepherd’s Care, Edmonton, at age 80. He was born in Calgary, January 10, 1932. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Jeanne; son Daniel (Patricia), daughters Nicole (Louis) Coulombe and Nadine (Cameron) Macdonell, and eleven grandchildren. He was very proud of his family and always delighted in their company. He also leaves to mourn, his devoted family. His sisters: Maureen Bowman, Sheila Holliston (Jack), Cathy Pamer, Sharon Heffernan and his brothers: Jim, Terry (Audrey), Brian (Kathy), Larry (Baya), and many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary, sisters Colleen and Moira and brothers– in-law, Ralph and John.
Pat worked for Alberta Transportation for 32 years, supervising highway construction and maintenance throughout the province. He was a dedicated member of St. Anthony’s Parish as well as an active Knight of Columbus for many years.
Pat fought the good fight, facing his many challenges with integrity and dignity. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Parish (10661 — 82 Avenue). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Grey Nuns Hospital, Units 51, 52 and 54, as well as Shepherd’s Care for their dedicated and compassionate care.
