 MacKAY, Mark Alexander December 17, 1958 — August 19, 2010 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mark Alexander MacKay, BSc, MBA, late of Arviat, Nunavut on August 19, 2010 aged 51 years. Mark is survived by his parents Al and June MacKay, brothers Michael, Andrew (Victoria) and David, sisters Ann MacKay-Drobot (Walter) and Carol MacKay, nephews Alan, Brian and Ian, nieces Christina and Melissa. Mark was predeceased by his grandparents in Nova Scotia. Mark spent more than a decade working with the Government of Nunavut. At the time of his passing, he was Director of Adult Learning and Post-Secondary Services for the Department of Education. In addition to his family, he leaves behind many friends and colleagues throughout Nunavut. Mark was a man with a big brain, an even bigger heart and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation and a private family service have taken place. |
