Sondra Lipinski, Manager
Sondra was born and raised in the Edmonton area and has been with Serenity since 2001. She spent most of her career as a Human Resources Consultant in the oil and gas industry before entering into funeral service. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta and the Western School of Funeral Service. Sondra enjoys the not-for-profit concept and feels it’s important to families in their time of need that they can feel a no-pressure atmosphere—especially when making one of the most difficult decisions of their lives. Sondra has two sons, Quinn and Cale and resides in Edmonton.
Marty Jorgensen, Assistant Manager
Marty began his career in Funeral Service in 1993 and graduated in 2001 from the Western School of Funeral Service. Marty is a second generation funeral director gaining most of his experience working with his father, Terry Jorgensen. After working for both family owned and corporate run funeral homes, Marty is happy to be a part of the Serenity family.
Glen Collins
Glen started in the funeral industry in 1993 for Westlawn in pre-need sales, before moving on to the Alberta oil patch for a number of years. After upgrading at the Alberta College, Glen attended the Mount Royal College in Calgary for the Funeral Directing & Embalming Certificate Program. After working for a few funeral locations in the Calgary area and obtaining his Celebrant Certification in the summer of 2006, Glen moved back to Edmonton and began his career with Serenity Funeral Service in October of 2010.
Ted Chernyk
Ted was born on November 18, 1942 in Lamont, Alberta. He began his career in funeral service in 1960 and has had the privilege of serving families for over 46 years. Serenity’s client families now have the benefit of Ted’s vast experience. Ted and his wife Edna live in Spruce Grove. They have 2 children: Michael & John and are proud grandparents to Bradley, Kianna & Shawna.
