We are Alberta’s only Not-For-Profit funeral home that is also community-owned. No single individual or business entity profits from the operation of Serenity. The Serenity Family Service Society is comprised of almost 125 multi-denominational churches who, through a board of directors, administer and govern the operations of Serenity Funeral Service. Serenity was established in November of 1999 in Edmonton with the opening of our South Location.
If you are looking for current service dates or times, please visit our Current Service Obituary Page. We post obituaries for all our families, and offer emailed condolences for those who cannot attend the service, or who would simply like to forward words of comfort to the family. Today, there is no such thing as a general “Funeral Service”. People are choosing to plan ceremonies or tributes that are more reflective of the person and fit the lifestyle of the family. That’s why Serenity’s staff of Licensed Funeral Directors are available to discuss all service options available to you.
